Privacy policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026. This policy explains what happens to information when you use Tafsirak (tafsirak.com), a website run from Morocco by the Tafsirak team. We have written it in plain language because we collect very little, and we want you to know exactly what that little is.

In short

  • No accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter.
  • We don’t store the text of your dream in a database, and we never publish it.
  • The only data we keep are daily counters for the free readings.
  • We don’t sell your personal data to anyone.
  • Ads are provided by Google AdSense, which uses cookies.

Your dream text and the optional details

When you ask for an interpretation, your dream text and any details you chose to add (gender, age group, marital status, mood and the method you picked) are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our server and then to our AI provider, Anthropic, for one purpose only: to generate the interpretation. We do not save the dream text in a database, we do not publish it and we do not use it for anything else. The interpretation is shown only to you, in your browser.

Please avoid putting real names, phone numbers, addresses or other sensitive personal information in your dream text. The interpretation doesn’t need them: “my friend”, “my brother” or “a colleague” works just as well.

The tf_vid cookie and the daily counter

To apply the free-reading limit (five a day, shared between dream interpretations and horoscope readings), we place one first-party cookie in your browser, called tf_vid. It contains a random identifier that says nothing about who you are, lasts one year, and is set as HttpOnly and Secure, which means scripts on the page cannot read it and it is only sent over encrypted connections.

To prevent abuse, we also turn your IP address into a one-way fingerprint (a salted SHA-256 hash) and store that fingerprint with a daily counter. We do not store the IP address itself, and it cannot be recovered from the hash. In other words, all we keep are daily counters.

Daily horoscope

Daily horoscope texts are cached for each sign and each day so they don’t have to be produced again on every visit. These texts are general and contain no personal data.

Hosting: Cloudflare

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare’s network. Like any hosting provider, Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure, protect it from attacks and deliver pages quickly.

Advertising: Google AdSense

We show ads through Google AdSense to cover the site’s costs. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn more, see Google’s page “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

If you visit from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you will see a consent message where the law requires it, and you can accept or refuse advertising cookies there.

Google Fonts

The fonts used on the site are loaded from Google Fonts servers. Your browser therefore connects to Google to download them, and Google receives technical data such as your IP address.

Cookies at a glance

  • tf_vid: our own cookie, needed to count your free daily readings. It is not used for advertising and does not track you across other sites.
  • Advertising cookies: set by Google and its partners, and subject to the consent message where the law requires it.
  • You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block tf_vid, the interpretation tool may not work properly.

What we don’t do

  • We never ask you to create an account or a password.
  • We don’t send newsletters or marketing emails.
  • We don’t sell or rent your personal data.
  • We don’t publish visitors’ dreams or show them to anyone else.

Children

Tafsirak is not intended for children under 13, and they should not use it. If you find out that a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to access or delete your data by writing to [email protected]. Because we keep almost nothing that identifies you, here is honestly what we can and cannot do:

  • We don’t have your dream texts, so there is nothing of that kind to show you or delete.
  • We cannot link the daily counters to you as a person, because they are tied to a random identifier and a hash that cannot be reversed.
  • You can delete the tf_vid cookie yourself in your browser settings at any time; a new identifier will be created on your next visit.
  • If you email us, we keep your message for as long as we need it to reply, and we will delete it if you ask.
  • Data processed by Google and Cloudflare is covered by their own policies, and you can exercise your rights with them directly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the way the site works, or the providers we rely on, change. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. For any privacy question, write to us at [email protected].
