About Tafsirak
Tafsirak (تفسيرك, “your interpretation” in Arabic) is an independent website about dream interpretation. It launched in 2026 and is run from Morocco by a small team we simply call the Tafsirak team. We try to offer what we were looking for ourselves whenever a dream stayed with us: a clear meaning drawn from the well-known books of dream interpretation, written in plain language and presented honestly, without drama.
Why we built it
When a dream worries you, you usually search for it online. Too often you find lists copied from site to site, sayings attributed to Ibn Sirin with no source, or readings that announce death and illness as certainties. We wanted something different: a place that names its sources when it knows them, says “may indicate” when nothing is certain, and gives the dreamer room to think about the dream calmly.
Dreams and their meanings are part of everyday culture in Morocco and across the Arab world, and many of our readers live between several languages. That is why everything is available in Arabic, English, French and Spanish.
What you’ll find here
The site has three parts:
- A free interpretation tool. You describe your dream and, if you like, add your gender, age group, marital status and the mood you woke up in. Then you choose a method: Ibn Sirin, Al-Nabulsi, Ibn Shahin or modern psychology.
- A library of dream symbols: 30 detailed articles on symbols that come up again and again in dreams, in four languages. Each covers the classical interpretations, how the meaning changes with the dreamer’s situation and the dream’s details, and the psychological view.
- Zodiac signs: a profile of each of the twelve signs and a daily horoscope, offered as entertainment and general culture, nothing more.
How the interpretation tool works
To be completely clear: the interpretation you get from the tool is generated automatically by an AI language model, Claude, made by Anthropic. No person writes it, and no one on the team checks it before it appears on your screen. What we do is write the instructions the model follows: stay within the method of the book you chose, take your situation into account as you described it, avoid frightening or absolute statements, and remind you that interpreting a dream is a matter of judgement.
So the automatic reading can be wrong. Treat it as a first reading to help you reflect, not as a verdict on your life.
Our sources
Both the articles and the tool’s instructions draw on three classical works of Islamic dream interpretation:
- Muntakhab al-Kalam fi Tafsir al-Ahlam, attributed to Muhammad Ibn Sirin. Scholars disagree about whether he actually wrote it, and we always say so.
- Ta’tir al-Anam fi Ta’bir al-Manam by Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi.
- Al-Isharat fi ‘Ilm al-‘Ibarat by Ibn Shahin al-Zahiri.
For the psychological angle we stick to general, mainstream ideas, such as those of Freud and Jung and the findings of modern sleep research, with no clinical or diagnostic claims. Everything is written in our own words; we do not copy text from other websites. Our Editorial policy explains how articles are written and reviewed.
What Tafsirak is not
Interpreting a dream is a reasoned reading (ijtihad), never certain knowledge. Nothing on Tafsirak is a religious ruling (fatwa), medical or psychological advice, or a reliable prediction of the future. If you keep having nightmares that upset you, or you are going through anxiety or heavy grief, please talk to someone you trust or to a professional.
Free, with no sign-up
Tafsirak is completely free: no account, no registration, no payment. Every visitor gets five free readings a day, shared between dream interpretations and horoscope readings. Ads on the site pay for hosting and for running the tool; they have no influence on the content.
We do not keep or publish the text of your dream; our Privacy policy explains exactly what happens to it.
