Editorial policy
This page explains how we write, review and correct the content on Tafsirak, and how our articles differ from the automatic readings produced by the tool. The aim is simple: you should know what you are reading and where it comes from.
Two kinds of content
- Articles (dream symbols and zodiac profiles) are drafted with the help of AI tools, then reviewed and edited by our team for accuracy, clarity and respect for the reader before publication, and again whenever an error is reported.
- The interpretation shown by the tool is generated automatically by Claude, Anthropic’s AI model, following instructions written by our team. No one reviews it as it appears, so it can be wrong.
Our sources
For traditional meanings we rely on Muntakhab al-Kalam fi Tafsir al-Ahlam, attributed to Ibn Sirin (we always note that this attribution is disputed), on Ta’tir al-Anam fi Ta’bir al-Manam by Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi, and on al-Isharat fi ‘Ilm al-‘Ibarat by Ibn Shahin al-Zahiri. We stay with the well-known meanings these books give for each symbol, and we never invent new meanings and pass them off as theirs.
For the psychological reading we keep to well-established general ideas: Freud’s wish-fulfilment, Jung’s archetypes and the shadow, and what modern sleep research says about the link between dreams and the processing of emotions and memories. We offer no diagnosis or treatment, and we don’t cite figures or studies we haven’t verified.
How we write
- Original wording: we put meanings into our own words and never copy sentences from other websites or books.
- Careful attribution: we write “is said to”, “may indicate” or “according to some interpreters”, because interpreters themselves disagree, and we never put quotation marks around words a scholar did not actually write.
- The dreamer’s situation: the same symbol can be read differently for a single woman, a married woman, a pregnant woman, a divorced woman, a married man or a young single man, and according to the details of the dream itself, such as colours, places and how the dreamer felt. We show these differences rather than one rigid meaning.
- Questions for reflection: each article includes questions to help readers connect the dream to what is actually happening in their lives.
What we will never publish
- Invented quotations attributed to Ibn Sirin or anyone else, fabricated hadith, or references and page numbers we have not verified.
- Frightening predictions that present death, illness, divorce or the sex of a baby as certain.
- Medical or therapeutic claims.
- Content that mocks any faith or belief.
When a dream seems to reflect anxiety, grief or recurring nightmares, we gently encourage readers to talk to someone they trust or to a professional.
Four languages, one meaning
Each article is written in Arabic first, then written again in English, French and Spanish in a style that feels natural to readers of each language, rather than translated word for word. The facts, sources and structure stay the same across all four, and when we correct one version we check the others.
Zodiac signs
We present zodiac profiles and the daily horoscope as general culture and entertainment, never as science or fate. On the sign pages, we make sure the astronomy and mythology we mention are correct.
Corrections
If you find a factual error, an inaccurate attribution or wording that could hurt someone, write to us at [email protected] with the link to the page. We review every report and correct and update the article when the error is confirmed. We also welcome reports of inappropriate automatic readings, since they help us improve the instructions the model follows.
Independence from advertisers
The site is funded by ads served through Google AdSense. Advertisers do not choose our topics, do not see articles before publication, and no ad has any influence on the meanings we present or on the instructions that guide the tool.
The limits of what we offer
Dream interpretation is a reasoned reading, not certain knowledge, and it is not a fatwa. If you need a religious ruling, ask a qualified scholar; if your dreams are wearing you down or something weighs on you, speak to a professional or to someone you trust.
